About Me

Hello, my name is David Ellis and I am a licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, a Certified Counselor Supervisor, and a Licensed School Counselor in North Carolina. Nationally, I am a National Certified Counselor, Certified Masters Addiction Counselor, and a National Substance Abuse Professional.

I have worked over 30 years in the mental health field.  My professional experience includes work with adults, children, adolescents, couples, families, and armed service members.  I have worked in schools, hospitals, and both community inpatient and outpatient facilities.  My specializations include Substance Abuse Counseling, Assessment and Diagnosis, Client Centered Therapy, Family Therapy, and DSM-V Disorders.

My education and training includes a M.A. in Counseling from Pepperdine University and an advanced 6th year in Counseling from the University of Bridgeport (Connecticut).  I am an honorably discharged member of the United States Armed Services.  Military families are encouraged to contact me for more  information.
